The
mission of the College of Business and Finance is to
provide high quality degree programs in a wide range
of Business-related disciplines. This is attained by
means of fostering an active learning-centered environment
that provides innovative, high quality, and relevant
programs responding to the changing intellectual needs
of students and the Syrian and Arab business markets.
Objectives
1. To pave the way for the college's excelling students
to pursue graduate degrees in the fields of Business
Administration, Accounting, Marketing, Finance and Banking,
and Management Information Systems.
2. To prepare students for business careers in a rapidly
changing environment, by helping them to keep posted
of the technological, analytical, research and communication
skills necessary to function as successful leaders,
employers and managers in the future.
3. To provide and maintain an adequate academic and
administrative infra-structure, which facilitates and
encourages the overall of process of learning and teaching.
4. To promote scholarly and research activities in the
various business, management and financial fields and
to communicate its results through publications and
presentations.
5. To incorporate current knowledge in teaching and
other academic activities.
6. To inculcate a spirit of team work and cooperation
amongst staff, students and other participants in the
college.
7. To streamline its academic and research activities
in a way that is both responsive and sensitive to the
needs of employers in the region via continuous contact
with the business community. Programs are designed to
meet both current needs, as well as those anticipated
in the future.
8. To set and meet high standards in the provision of
education and related activities through formal and
systematic Quality Assurance procedures.
