The
IUST houses a well-equipped library with core references
that provide students with the necessary materials they
need to consult for their research and academic work.
IUST has acquired books, dictionaries, encyclopedias,
general and specialized journals, and newspapers that
cover the wide spectrum of subjects and specializations
offered across the various colleges. The University
adopts a policy whereby its subscription to magazines
and journals are to be updated and reviewed regularly
to make sure that it has in store titles that are directly
linked to the teaching needs and research interests
of faculty and students.
Books are sorted on the shelves by themes, and students
can always seek assistance from the librarians and staff
members, on duty, who are there to help them find their
way round and answer their questions.
The University offers a wide variety of computing services
to students, faculty, and staff including access to
computers, laser printing, and regional national and
world-wide computer networks. Moreover, students can
borrow materials for a limited period of time, after
which they will have to pay a certain amount of money
for each extra day.
The Library provides individual study carrels for faculty
and students in addition to tables and spaces for group
work.
To ensure continuous access to its services, the library
will adopt a schedule of flexible opening hours during
weekends and late evenings.
