I would like to share with you the inspiration behind establishing IUST and the unique value that IUST education can offer you.

 

IUST was established in 2005 by the Presidential decree No.194 dated 7/5/2005. Its main objective was providing quality education in all university programs provided according to all international standards and to contribute in advancing scientific research and community service.

It was realized by the university council that quality education depends on university regulations and education environment, Curriculum , good Instructor and good student. this is the reason all factors were taken into consideration when designing the university regulations and curricula.
 

 

 

 

IUST adopted an integrated educational system in providing knowledge for students allowing them acquire the capability to satisfy the local and regional job market. IUST adopted the American Credit Hour System and uses English as the language for teaching. We require students to have good command of English to be able to look into references and various available online information resources, and to give him advanced position in the job market after graduation.

IUST provide all facilities needed for delivering good quality education. Comprehensive courses in English, computer skills, communication skills are provided for students who fail to meet a specific level of knowledge in all areas. The university provided a library rich in references and periodicals, and has many online references too via an internet connection. Interaction between students and academic staff is assured by the university regulations providing for students one-to-one attention from their professors.

 Curricula for all programs offered by the university were designed according to international standards and equivalent to those offered by excellent regional and international institutions following the American credit hour system.

Academic staff is a major factor for the success of all our  programs. IUST   attracts distinguished staff in Syria and Abroad. They are required to carry out research and publish papers in international reputable journals and conferences and considered in their evaluation.  In addition, the university has good relations with some reputable regional and international universities which provide for us and the academic staff good contacts and exposure.

Through the efforts of our dedicated and talented staff, the University has established itself as a progressive and successful centre of higher education and earned its current position among the front rank of Syrian Private Universities. Our success servers further to fuel our ambition as we increase our service to society -locally, nationally and internationally.
