» Synopsis:
The mission of the Department of Management
Information Systems (DMIS) is to develop leaders
who use information technology to deliver strategic
business value. The MIS curriculum combines
a solid base in technical skills (computer programming,
database management) combined with advanced
work in business and e-business systems design
and strategic business thinking. To this end,
DMIS intends to develop constructive relationships
with the business community to exchange expertise,
to keep its faculty and students informed of
new trends and development and to supply the
market with needed qualifications and skills
in the various domains.

» Goals and Objectives:
Upon successful completion of the Bachelor's
Degree in Management Information Systems, it
is anticipated that the student will:
1. Have the ability and skills to make the information
businessmen depend on in their decision-making
useful, understandable, timely, thorough, focused
and distributed to the appropriate individuals.
2. Gain professional skills in the areas of
computer-based information systems, networks,
communications, data analysis and other skills
needed by this expanding field of information
technology management.
3. Have the knowledge and skills to integrate,
support, and manage the information and communication
needs of business and industry at the local
and regional level
